The Stationmaster's House Museum on South Townsend is a restored cottage built for the Santa Fe Railroad stationmaster, with the original depot, a windmill, and a replica of the area's first settler-built structure on the grounds.
A little history
Spearman was platted in 1917 and named for Thomas E. Spearman, a vice president of the Santa Fe Railway. The town incorporated in 1921, absorbed the nearby towns of Farwell and Hansford, and became the Hansford County seat in 1929.
