Tooter Reed Memorial Park, across from City Hall, named for longtime Kress mayor and businessman W.F. "Tooter" Reed, with seating areas, a basketball half court, swings, and grills.

A little history

Kress began in 1890 as a settlement called Wright. When the railroad came through in 1906, the town moved two miles southwest and was renamed for pioneer settler George H. Kress.
