Most towns up here were put on the map by a railroad inside about twenty years. Here is how that happened →

Fiber in a town of a few hundred

Groom has fiber. That sentence does a lot of work, because towns this size are usually the last ones anybody builds to, if they ever get built to at all. The math that keeps national carriers out of small Panhandle towns is the same math that made us decide to build here anyway.

If your address is on the route, you get a symmetrical connection. Upload matches download. For anybody running a farm office, filing with a co-op, sitting in on a school meeting from home, or keeping an eye on a place from a phone, that is the difference between a connection that works and one that technically exists.

Outside the fiber footprint, licensed fixed wireless covers the country around town. It is a radio path from a tower to a small antenna on your roof, and it does not care how far it is to the next mailbox. Out here that is the whole game.

I-40 brings a lot of people past Groom every day. The people who live here deserve better than what gets left over.

Put your address in above and we will sort out which service reaches you.
