Lake Meredith Aquatic & Wildlife Museum, a free museum near Lake Meredith National Recreation Area with aquariums of native fish and Panhandle wildlife exhibits.
More about it →A little history
Fritch is named for railroad executive H. C. "Fred" Fritch. The town incorporated in 1959 after Sanford Dam went up on the Canadian River, creating Lake Meredith.

Howdy Neighbor Day, an annual fall festival run by the Fritch Area Chamber of Commerce, with a parade, live music, and food and craft vendors.
On the map since
1933. Rock Island Railroad vice president H. C. 'Fred' Fritch bought the right-of-way in 1924 and the townsite was laid out in 1933. A 1926 gas boom and later the Sanford Dam are what actually grew it.

Fiber, and a lot of lake traffic
Fritch has fiber in the ground, which is not something most towns this size can say. If your address is on the route, you get symmetrical service: upload as quick as download. That is the part that changes your day. Sending photos and video off a phone, running a camera at the dock, working a shift from the kitchen table, all of it leans on upload, and upload is what the old options never gave you.
Being a lake town makes it its own case. Traffic here swells in summer, and a connection that felt fine in February can crawl in July when everybody around Lake Meredith is streaming at once. Fiber does not flinch at that. Neither does a properly engineered wireless link, which is what covers the addresses out past the fiber line, up the draws and around the recreation area where nobody was ever going to trench cable.
Installs are done by techs who live in Hutchinson and Moore counties. If your service quits on a holiday weekend with a house full of people, you are calling somebody who knows the roads.
Run your address through the checker above and we will tell you which one reaches you.
